This was the second wine from the Society for American Wines hosted Phelp’s Creek tasting featuring the wines of Oregon and Portland. It is pale in color with a richer smell. There’s more buttery smells to it. The wine is quite nice on the mid pallet with some nice complexity. The oak is well under control and not overwhelming at all. There’s no creamyness to it. The wine is quite well done and is more to my tastes. The finish is medium. Not available in the LCBO, but worth about $26 at the winery. This was my second favorite wine of the evening.
