Another one from the California wine show. Light in color with a deep rich nose of butterscotch. On the mid pallet the wine is lighter in flavor with some butterscotch coming through. I think the wine was again served a little on the cold side. It is a subtle well made chard with a lighter side of medium finish. I would give it an 88-89. Not a great deal when you factor in price.

Tasting Note
The top value is the excellent 2008 Chardonnay Overlook, 75% of which is accessed from Sonoma and 25% from Santa Barbara. Its medium straw/green color is followed by notes of poached pears, cloves, white currants, and nectarines, pure fruit, medium to full body, and a good finish. It should drink well for 2-3 years. Winemaker Eric Stern judiciously uses wood as a complementary seasoning, which is evident in all these Chardonnays. Score – 89. (Robert Parker Jr., erobertparker.com, Feb. 2010)
