SOL DE ANDES RESERVA ESPECIAL SYRAH 2008

Inky dark in color with a rich nose of red berries, cassis and some earthy notes. On the mid pallet the wine has some deep rich, semi sweet cassis flavors to match the nose. It’s slightly jammy in texture. There’s some strong acidity that will likely pass with aging or breathing. The wine has some light tannins on the medium length finish that builds in the mouth. This is definitely more of a fruit forward syrah. I would give it an 88-89 or so.
