Dark in color with a mild nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some soft black berries along. On the medium length finish the wine displays some subtle tannins and moderate dryness. The wine is kind of disappointing given the price and lineage of the wine. I would give it at best an 88 or so. I have to say if I had more I would return it. It’s not that it’s a bad wine … I just expect more complexity at this price point.

Lively, with a taut plum skin frame that eventually melds nicely into the core of raspberry, warm cherry compote and red currant fruit. Charcoal and chalk lend definition and length to the finish, which is well-packed, but racy overall. Drink now through 2020. Score – 90. (James Molesworth, winespectator.com, web only, 2013) $25.95
