Jacob’s Creek Double Barrel Shiraz 2nd Vintage

Dark in color with mild nose of black berries. On the mid palate the wine matches the nose with some lovely rich black berries and a hint of sweetness. On the medium length finish the wine displays some smoky notes, some firm tannins, acidity and some nice lingering pepper. The black berries also hang around for a bit. The alcohol is definitely noticeable. I would give it an 88 or so. Not as fruit forward as some, not as bold as others.
