Pale in color with a mild nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice grassy notes along with some citrus. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice acidity and the green grassy notes linger nicely in the mouth. This is a softer more gentle sauv blanc. I would give it an 88 or so. Sadly not in the LCBO. This is from Paaarl South Africa. we had it at Hot House Cafe during Summerlicious. It was reasonably priced at $9 a glass.

Our Franschhoek Cellar Statue de Femme Sauvignon Blanc has tangy cool climate tropical and citrus centred aromas with a pure graceful core of gentle ripe fig, grapefruit and pineapple fruit balanced by a lively acidity that follows through to a frisky finish of pleasing length. A hint of Semillon adds breadth and fills the mid palate.
