I last reviewed the 2011 which I only had a tasting of so I thought I would grab a bottle of it. The wine is a vinatges essential so available in many LCBO web stores. Dark in color with a nice dark berry nose. On the mid palatte the wine displays some rich dark berries to match the nose along with some oak notes, mocha and chocolate. On the medium length finish the wine lingers really nicely in the mouth along with some vibrant acidity, some nice smooth tannins and some nice dryness. There’s some nice complexity to the wine not common at this price point. This is a lovely, typical, varietal bordeaux. I would give it an 88+. Very nice and worth a go. But be sure and pair it with something hearty so it can stand up to the wine!
