Let’s not waste any time discussing the silly name … I tried this wine IN SPITE of the name 🙂 Slightly golden in color with a nice varietal nose with pear and apple coming through. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice apple/pear to match the nose. Spot on varietal, with some nice vibrant fruit. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice vanilla notes along with a some slight creamyness. This is obviously an oaked chard, but not over oaked. Just right for my palate. I quite enjoyed it. I didn’t notice the 9 g/l sugar at all. I would give this an 88 or so. Quite nice!
