Niagara makes some wonderful Pinot Noirs. So much so I have trouble accepting supporting ones from other places, especially at even higher prices. This one is beautifully garnet in color with a nice soft red berry nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some lovely strawberry fruits, nice and firm. On the medium length finish the wine displays some lovely vibrant acidity and some nice tannins. This is an elegant well made varietal pinot. The price is creeping up there, but this one is worth it. Yumm. I’d give it an 88+. We paired it with some BBQ trout and it was a little piece of ratatouille in the mouth. I’ve also had the Growers blend Cab Franc and been impresed.

A lightly-hued red in the glass, it offers delicate aromas of piquant spice, cedar and raspberry on the nose. It streaks over the palate with tang, tart and acidity borne of crunchy red fruit flavours – currant, pie cherry and passionfruit – along with wisps of sharp spice.
