2018 Burnt Ship Bay Sauv blanc

Pale in color with a mild citrus nose. On the mid palate there’s some nice citrus and passion fruit coming through. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice vibrant acidity with the citrus notes lingering nicely in the mouth, nice and dry. This is more of a subtle, elegant style sauv blanc Vs edgy and sharp. I would give it an 88 or so, which for the price is a good deal. We paired it with liver and kidney and it held it’s own nicely with the acidity cutting through the flavors.

This Sauvignon Blanc delivers above its pay grade. A huge bouquet of nectarine, guava, passion fruit, poached pear and grapefruit. On the palate, it is dry with fresh acidity and very good length as well as added nuances of lemon balm and minerals. Ceviche please! Score – 88.
