Cloudline Pinot Noir 2018

Dark garnet in color with a nice red berry nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some lovey ripe strawberry/raspberries. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice earthy tannins and smooth acidity. This is a lovely, varietal, pinot, exactly as we would expect from Oregon. Yum. I would give this an 88+. We paired it with venison striploin and it was delicous! I previously had the 2017 which was also very good. From the LCBO web site: Check stock:

It’s rare to find terrific Oregon Pinot Noir [at this price], but this cherry-inflected bottling from Cloudline (an affordable label from the benchmark producer Domaine Drouhin) does the trick effortlessly. It’s light enough for roast turkey and flavorful enough for roast tenderloin. (Ray Isle, today.com, Dec. 4, 2019)
