Granite Hill Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Dark color with a black cherry nose. On the mid palate there are some black cherry notes along with some cassis, minty, herbal and even some eucalyptus notes. On finish the wine is on the lighter side of medium in length with some vibrant acidity and mild tannins. Definitely more of a fruit forward, drink now style of wine. I would give it an 87+, not a bad wine, just not to my tastes. From the LCBO web site, check stock:

A very intriguing nose that offers an engaging mix of cassis, black cherry, chocolate, mocha and smoke. In the mouth it’s plush and fruit-forward, with comprehensive ripe dark fruit and spice and velvety tannins. There’s excellent intensity and balance throughout and a long finish. A great patio wine, ideal for grilled meat. (Vintages panel, July 2019)
