Dark in color with a nice cherry nose. On the mid palate this wine is classic Chianti, pun intended with lots of nice dried cherry and tomato notes. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice dry, velvety tannins and some nice acidity. This is a perfect, well made varietal Chianti Classico riserva. This ripe Chianti Classico shows aromas of strawberries, cherries and red plums. Hints of earth, too. Full body, juicy tannins and a medium-deep finish. Delicious now, but it will be better in 2020. Score – 94. (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, Jan. 22, 2019)
