Dark in color with a dark berry nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some black plummy notes along with some mocha. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice acidity and smooth tannins, nice and dry. This is definitely more of a soft Bordeaux so food choices should be lighter. We paired with the LCBO Slow cooker lamb shanks and it went well. For the price, and given a softer food choice, it’s a nice wine. I’d give it an -88. from the LCBO web site, check stock:
