Pale straw in color with a crisp dry minerally nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice lemon and citrus notes, quite refreshing. On the lighter side of medium in length the wine displays some nice crisp minerality that coats the palate along with some gently acidity. This is a more elegant wine so some caution must be used in your food pairing as it can easily be overwhelmed. I would give it an -88. Not bad at all, and a perfect summer sipper for the patio. Traditionally used to make vermouth, the ancient Picpoul grape hails from the Languedoc region and is gaining traction as a stand-alone varietal for fine wines such as this.
