2019 Trius Distinction Pinot Noir

I picked this one up on the way out of the grocery store at the Wine Shop, this wine is from Niagara on the Lake, generally speaking, compared to Beamsville, NOL are softer … This wine is garnet in color with a mild red berry nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some soft red berries, raspberries and strawberries and the like. On the finish the wine is quite light with super soft tannins and acidity. I’d really like to say I enjoyed this wine, but sadly it’s a step off of a kit wine. I would give it an 87 or so, which for the price is a disappointment, if I had more I’d return them. From the wineries web site:

Our Pinot Noir underwent traditional red wine making, 48% was aged in older barriques and puncheons for 10 months (100% French oak), and 52% was aged in large neutral French oak casks$19.95
