Dark in color with a mild black berry nose along with some oaky notes. On the mid palate the wine displays dark black berries to match the nose along with some mild oaky notes. On the medium length finish there’s some vibrant acidity and white pepper notes along with some smokey/tobacco notes especially noticeable without food. This is a reasonable complex wine, but it does not come cheap. I would give it a -88 or so … Check stock, from the LCBO web site (apologies the LCBO have yet again changed their website, making copying and pasting more time consuming :() :

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma Valley offers a fresh, nicely focused, classic Sonoma character as well as medium to full body, lots of cassis and plum fruits, a solid sense of minerality, and ample tobacco and graphite-like nuances. It should be an outstanding wine. Score – 90-92. (jebdunnuck.com, July 22, 2021)
