2014 Faustino I Gran Reserva

Dark in color with a mild nose. On the mid palate the wine displays big bold black fruits, dark cherries and the like along with some nice dark chocolate notes. On the medium length finish the wine displays firm tannins, acidity and peppery notes, and it’s super dry. In spite of this being a 2014 the fruit and finish have lots of live in them, owing to Spains practice of aging in larger, older barrels for long periods of time. This is a BIG wine with lots going on so make sure you pair it with something with lots of flavor or your not tasting the food. I would give this a solid 88-89, yum, it was given as a gift, thanks Merv! From the LCBO web site, check stock.
