At a wine course I got introduced to Aligote and was impressed. It actually shocks me that farmers in Burgundy make this wine when they could make a much more profitable pinot noir … Pale straw in color with a mild nose. On the mid palate without food, and a little warmer and the wine has some nice sharp, crisp, tartness, a little lighter on the finish where the acidity and citrus notes live on. With food however this wine is fairly easily overwhelmed. I’ve paired other Aligote’s with chicken legs and enjoyed them, but this one is a softer, gentler Aligote, which is so not what I look for in an Aligote. I would give it an 87-88. Not a bad wine, but not a great one either. I won’t be rushing out to grab more. Some will love them, and to the I can only say, have at them. Sadly at 26 g/l and 10.5% alcohol this is not moving in the right direction of my taste buds. Pale in color with a honey suckle nose. On the mid palate the wine is dominated by honey suckle that matches the nose. There’s some apricot and even a hint of ice wine like notes on this wine. It’s slightly syrupy in nature. On the medium length finish the wine displays lots of acidity and syrupy notes along with apricots. This is quite a bold rich wine, but I would have a very hard time recommending a food to pair with this wine, it borders on a dessert wine to my tastes. From the LCBO web site, check stock

Pale in color with a mild grassy nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice grassy notes to match the nose along with some lime and some oily notes. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice citrus along with some nice vibrant acidity. I would give it an 88 or so. Quite a nice sauv blanc most likely blended with some semillion. Golden in color with a nice golden delicious apple nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice baked apple notes along with some pear and distinctive vanilla notes. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice acidity and dryness. If you like your Chards unoaked, meh, look somewhere else, but if your like me and you like oaked chards, your in luck this is a good one with some nice buttery and richness.
